"Umelecka fotografie, nos. 1-42 [""Artistic Photography""; a complete series; 44 vols. ]"

"All volumes published in the celebrated Czechoslovak series ""Umelecka fotografie"" (Artistic Photography), including the additional volume published as an assessment of the series in 1964. There are 44 volumes in total (nos. 1-42; two volumes are erroneously numbered as 38). Every volume contains between 60-100 reproductions of photos; volumes are mostly devoted to an individual photographer. However, several volumes present a selection of photographs from a given year or country. The series focuses on both Czechoslovak and world photographers, although it preferres the former over the latter; many avant-garde photographers were also selected. Every volume contains an introductory essay; later volumes contain summaries in one or more foreign languages (Russian, English, French or German). The list of individual volumes is as follows: 1. Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1958; 2. Miroslav Hak, 1959; 3. D. J. Ruzicka, 1959; 4. International Photography 1958, 1959; 5. Jaromir Funke, 1960; 6. Nadar, 1960; 7. Werner Bischof, 1960; 8.
