Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Öchsner studierte Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik an der Universität Stuttgart und promovierte an der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Er ist seit 2014 Professor an der Griffith University in Australien und Leiter des Studiengangs Maschinenbau. Professor Öchsner ist Herausgeber der internationalen Fachzeitschrift Continuum Mechanics and Thermodynamics (Springer) und der Buchreihe Advanced Structured Materials (Springer).
